Keslensky One of the things that I enjoy about these old pulp novels is the totally fantastic ways the author felt he needed to embellish the size and scope of the crime. Everything had to be a plot against the entire nation. The broader the scope of the attack on society, the better. That bit of incredable logic aside. The actual battles between the Spider and the dealers of dope death, the almost overwhelming odds against Richard Wentworth, the array of disguises he uses, all just make this a classic example of this series of heroic adventures.
