By Nick Finney As one who loves to live vicariously through other people's deeds, this tempted me as I needed something quick to read while travelling without getting bogged down.So glad I did. This is a story full of emotion where you feel you are part of the story. While a sea horizon is infinite the story suffocates you within the confines of the tiny boat that the author operates. His story starts so positively then dives down with each wave roll only to bring you breathless back for the next high. Funny in parts, it is a story of a man who never knows when to give up. We not only see the physical challenges of someone trying to cross the Atlantic with the world's storms upon him but the psychological impact of being so close to death. It's a lesson for many of us armchair warriors and indeed for our cotton wool society. This is a story of bravery, of spirit, of survival.It's a short-ish book and perfect for the story. Fear not it doesn't skim over the details. it packs a punch like a book version of a boys own comic adventure and perfect for those not wanting something too long. Highly recommended
