I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down By Amazon Customer This is an action packed, fast-paced WWII novel told from the Russian point of view which is what makes this book so unique and stand out from many of the other WWII novels out there today. The author spent nearly 20 years in the US Marines and has a background in aviation so the combat scenes (especially the fighter scenes) are realistic and keep the book moving forward. There's also a wartime romance intertwined into the story which is done in a way that isn't sappy but serves to help the reader relate to the characters. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down....a great first novel and I can't wait to see more from D.L. Clark!

I wonder how much is real and how much was embelished for dramtic effect. Either way i didnt care. It was amazing. I only read wwii combat stories and ive read a ton. This is one of my alltime favorites. The last sentence even made me choke. This book is like crack cocaine for the combat reader. What a ride. Well written
