About the Author Thomas M.(Mike) Roberson is a native of Houston, Texas. He and his wife Carolyn, live in Pearland near Houston. They have two sons, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He began his career as a firefighter at the Johnson Space Center and joined the Houston Fire Department in 1967. Retiring in 1989 as a Senior Arson Investigator, he sought new adventures. Those included: executive security, circulation manager for an advertising newspaper, hospital security manager, expert witness, and engineering manager. He has written poems and short stories for years but only after his second retirement, did he begin to write Hunter, his first novel. Mike's other interests are reading, travel, and collecting guns. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. A real Texas Lawman By MrsPiddles Can a Texas lawman also be a Christian? Not only that, a strong Christian. Jacob Hunter sets out to right a wrong and investigates the wrongful imprisonment of a friend. But the deeper he digs the more dangerous things get. I loved every part of this book, and I don't usually read Christian novels. This one is not preachy, just the realistic life of a cop who prays - and gets the bad guy. I highly recommend this book for anyone.

Gray This author's first novel is a great read if you love the Texas hill country, detective stories, and authentic Christian heroes. The characters are believable, the plot is intriguing, and the reminders of God's promises encourage the reader. You will fall in love with the Hunter family, and I hope there are more tales to follow.
