0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. In the Sierra with Marcel By John Jennings Met the author on a backpacking trip in Yosemite this last summer. He is a very interesting person and to still be backpacking in his 80s is pretty impressive. The book is mostly stream of consciousness that he jotted down on discarded food wrappers while he was backpacking. Having hiked a lot alone in my younger days, I know how the beauty of nature when back packing combined with isolation can make you very philosophic. It is fun to hear his thoughts though.
