About the Author Aaron Dunbar graduated from Clarion University with degrees in Psychology and English writing as well as a Master's degree in secondary education from the University of Pittsburgh. After writing several novels, he wrote this story dedicated to the folks who care so deeply for children with life threatening medical conditions. "While it's primarily fiction, 'A Wish for Giants' gave me a chance to tell a story of courage, determination and the power of faith against a seemingly impossible challenge. I was able to incorporate this tale of valor with another subject that has fascinated me since I was very young--Bigfoot. I've included some of the knowledge gained on the subject over the years to bring to life an account that will make readers wonder if it didn't really happen."

A special child passes a special message to the reader By Tia shurina A Wish for Giants crossed my path at just the right time to remind me of an important but also easy to forget fantastical truth it took me a long time in my life to forge some faith in..."there's something magical about a wish. if you believe it in your heart, the wish will come true". A beautiful story about the human spirit & the power of love is always my "go to" place as a reader & this story not only met that criteria but surpassed it. As i journeyed with Sophie I challenged myself as she did, wondering when, if ever, a blurring of the line & differences between reality & truth is important to do, whether a fib or an un-truth is actually a "lie". As I traveled with little Roxie, her delightful ebullient spirit re-enforced my desire to live in my joy....to eat, sleep & breathe it! None of us know exactly how long we have or do we usually get the specific answers to the many "why me" questions we could ask as we move thru daily frustrations as well as major life obstacles, yet, if we can stay connected to our bliss, whatever the answers may be, i trust it makes the journey through to the other side of them easier & more pleasant to make.
