Little ones will enjoy the lyrical rhyming text and simple images. My granddaughter especially liked the octopus and starfish. I haven't seen many books for the very young about sets, indeed, I don't recall any. This is a unique book that provides a joyful way for children to count and think about numbers all around them.

I'd say it's suitable for 18 months + in terms of the language used, but my 14 month old enjoys the pictures- it's one of those 'uncluttered' books, where the images are clear and precisely related to the words. Love it.
