Sid Carter is an American CPA who receives a letter from a stranger in Nigeria offering him a generous percentage if Sid will only help him export his $60 million fortune out of Africa. Acting on a whim, Sid finds himself drawn into a world of intrigue that takes him to Paris, the Sahara desert, Switzerland and finally into the Islamic mosques of Cleveland. At the same time that Sid is helping the Nigerian retrieve his money, agents from Homeland Security are tracking a sinister cell of Islamic jihadists who are planning a major act of terror to mark the anniversary of September 11th. Agent Jasmine Bloom has become an expert on Arab terrorism ever since her husband and two children were brutally murdered by jihadists in their London home. She has traced the roots of the Moslem Brotherhood back to Hitler's Nazi party and the Arab divisions in the Waffen-SS and she is determined that their evil shall not be repeated. Following the interception of a truck carrying a nuclear bomb, high in the French Alps, the action moves swiftly towards its unexpected heart-wrenching conclusion in a luxury yacht moored in the placid waters of Monte Carlo harbor.

The writer is extremely adept at having the reader visualize what is happening. Someone should make this into a movie. The dialogue is snappy and smart. You can also relate to the characters and feel for them. The book also deals with terrorism in a rational and real way. I highly recommend it.

He wrote a great guide to Proust which we use in the class and we asked him if he'd published anything else. He mentioned that he had a couple of books that he was shopping around to publishers. We suggested he try publishing an ebook on KIndle and here it is!It's kind of a Dan Brown like thriller set in exotic locales around the world. Very timely as it involves Mideast terrorism and even the Muslim Brotherhood.Well written and obviously well researched. He manages to convey the flavor of the various international settings. My first e-book purchase, I read it in a day! Very entertaining!Well done Prof Alexander! Can't wait for the next one.

The book is well written with lots of action in exotic places that are described as if you were there. The dialogue is lively, there are plot twists and turns, drama, intrigue and a fascinating background on the Moslem Brotherhood. And a great ending.
