About the Author The author has over 50 years of experience as a soldier, civil engineer, forest ranger, director of an environmental regulatory agency, management consultant and technical writer. The descriptions of the food, travel, customs in that area are great. It is a paperback and I purchased it to take with me to appointments, etc. (something to read while waiting) I became so engrossed in it that I came home and read until I finished it. I felt I had just taken a trip to Siberia. You can tell that the author knows what he is talking about and is talking first hand about the area.
